Wild floral accents on the nose, smells really pretty with cool and crisp blue fruit. Succulent, creamy, chalky, round – a little fleshy with a chewy grip and full texture in the mouth. I really like this, very assured and balanced with focus and energy but without any overt heaviness or acidity. Lots of cool blueberry, cola and flint. If anything it’s a little bit short on the finish but this should elongate over ageing. Missing a touch more plumpness but I like the freshness and fine tannin expression. Started harvest on the 1 September. 3.65pH. A yield of 23hl/ha.
Ripe black cherries, chocolaty herbs, spice, and floral nuances all emerge from the 2025 Château Beauregard, a dense purple-hued Pomerol based on 70% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon that's being raised in a mix of new barriques and 500-liter barrels. On the palate, it's ripe, fleshy, and expansive, with medium to full-bodied richness, soft tannins, and beautiful length. It checks in at 13% alcohol with a healthy pH of 3.65.
Depth and power to the colour, delicious peony floral aromatics that need time in the glass to unroll and curl upwards alongside cool blue fruit and a gunpowder smoke. Fairly austere at this earn stage, reflective on the high Cabernet in the blend. 3.65 pH. 23 hl/ha. 40% new oak, Olivier Boissière consultant in the vineyards only. Lauren Laudrin first full year as director.
