Château Feytit-Clinet 2022 er en af de skjulte perler i Pomerol – en vin, der forener autenticitet, terroirtro udtryk og imponerende finesse. Ejendommen dækker knap 6 hektar midt på Pomerol-plateauet, hvor Jérémy Chasseuil siden begyndelsen af 2000’erne har stået i spidsen med en næsten håndværksmæssig tilgang til vinfremstillingen. Her handler alt om præcision og respekt for jorden, og moderniseringen af kælderen i 2016 har yderligere løftet detaljegraden i arbejdet.

Blendets 90% Merlot og 10% Cabernet Franc giver en vin med dybde og fløjlstekstur, men også med friskhed og nerve. I næsen mødes mørke bær, viol og et strejf af kakao og krydderi. Smagen er tæt og koncentreret, men styret af fine tanniner og en livlig energi, der løfter vinen. 2022 viser Feytit-Clinet fra sin mest overbevisende side – en vin med klar appellationskarakter, stor elegance og en bemærkelsesværdig værdi for sin klasse.

With full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, nicely integrated smoky oak, and a blockbuster of a finish, this brilliant wine should be snatched up by savvy readers. It will ideally be given 4-6 years in the cellar, but you'll be excused for opening bottles now. It should cruise for two decades, if not longer.

    Blackberries, black beans, black olives and dried flowers on the nose. Walnuts and hints of cedar, too. It’s full-bodied, creamy and seamless, with ripe and fine tannins accompanying the succulent black fruit. Long and delicious. Drink from 2027.

The 2022 shows all the natural richness that is typical of Feytit-Clinet, but with brighter fruit, more freshness and less barrel toast impact that was once the norm. This opens beautifully over time, offering a captivating interplay of finesse and power.

Château Feytit Clinet

Château Feytit Clinet ligger på plateauet mod vest i Pomerol, meget tæt på Clos L’Eglise, Château Clinet og Château Latour á Pomerol. Den tidligste omtale af ejendommen finder man helt tilbage i 1825, hvor familien Gombault ejede Château Feytit Clinet.
 
I 1964 overtog Moueix forpagtningen af slottet. Denne forpagtningsaftale ophørte i 2000, hvor de nuværende ejere, familien Chasseuil, igen overtog kontrollen med slottet og de tilhørende vinmarker samt hele fremstillingsprocessen.
 
Det er i dag Jeremy Chasseuil, der er ansvarlig for fremstillingen af vinen på slottet. Jeremy Chasseuil, som er ønolog, har foretaget store forandringer i såvel vinfremstillingen, som i behandling og pleje af vinmarkerne. Allerede fra starten blev høstudbyttet kraftigt nedsat. Høsten bliver nu foretaget med håndkraft, og der bliver nu anvendt en høj andel af helt nye fade i lagringsprocessen.
 
Château Feytit Clinets vinmarker dækker et areal på 6,5 ha der er beplantet med 90% Merlot og 10% Cabernet Franc. Undergrunden består af grus, sand og lerjord.
