Château Kirwan er et 3. Cru Classé i Margaux og ejet af familien Schÿler siden 1925. Med vinmarker på grusplateauet i Cantenac og en moderne kælder fra 2017 kombinerer slottet klassisk terroir med nutidig præcision. Årgang 2024 er frisk og aromatisk med noter af røde bær og blomster, præcise tanniner og en saftig, elegant stil, der er tro mod appellationens finesse.

    Good depth for the vintage, showing nice spices and black cherries. A hint of iodine and graphite. Juicy, acid-driven and bright, this has medium to full body and fresh, pleasantly chewy tannins. Pretty al dente with a long finish.

Ainsi, je relève des notes de cerises, de mûres et de myrtilles complétées par une touche de réglisse et de poivre. Dense et harmonieux, le vin est porté par des tannins compacts et suaves ainsi qu’une acidité conférant une touche saline et de la fraîcheur en finale. Un Kirwan de toute beauté ! 2028-2047

    The 2024 Kirwan is quite understated and discreet on the nose, opening up with blackberry, raspberry and crushed violet scents. The oak is neatly integrated. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and juicy, with pliant tannins, more on the mid-palate than some of its peers and a harmonious, thoroughly enjoyable finish. This is classy. Kirwan looks as if it has raised its game in recent vintages and this bodes well for the future. Bravo!
