Berries and cherries with a very light lactic touch that’s way milder here than in the 2022 vintage. Very lovely fruit, firm tannins and a pretty long, expressive finish. 60% cabernet sauvignon, 25% merlot and 15% petit verdot.

The 2024 La Gurgue is still coming together in élevage. It offers very good depth, even if the tannins need time to fully integrate. Yields were punishingly low at 12HL per hectare. Claire Villars-Lurton chose not to chaptalize the 2024. Time in the glass brings out pretty floral overtones that complement a core of red-toned fruit. There's good potential here.
